Note: If you opt for cellular data, it won't be consumed per payment; the system only requires an active data connection.
The PayMongo Soundbox is your trusty sidekick at the counter—delivering instant audio and visual alerts for every QR-based transaction. No more second-guessing if a payment went through. Once you receive your Soundbox, you can connect to your mobile data to start accepting payments in your store. Here’s how to set it up.
Switch to Cellular data mode
Hold the Function button (≡) until you hear “GPRS mode” from the device.
Register your SIM
Locate the Smart SIM card included in your Soundbox package and visit smart.com.ph/simreg or use the GigaLife app to register it.
Activate a data package
We recommend SMART MAGIC DATA 99, which offers non-expiring data valid for 1 year. Keep your SIM active with at least ₱1 load balance at all times and renew your data package after 1 year.
Insert the nano SIM card
Switch to Cellular data mode
Hold the Function button (≡) until you hear “GPRS mode” from the device.
Wait for Audio Prompts
The Soundbox will confirm setup with three prompts: “Configuration done,” “Connecting,” and “Ready to work.”
After you hear all three, your Soundbox is successfully connected to Wi-Fi.
