How do I Activate My Soundbox via Cellular Data?

Note: If you opt for cellular data, it won't be consumed per payment; the system only requires an active data connection.

The PayMongo Soundbox is your trusty sidekick at the counter—delivering instant audio and visual alerts for every QR-based transaction. No more second-guessing if a payment went through. Once you receive your Soundbox, you can connect to your mobile data to start accepting payments in your store. Here’s how to set it up.

  • Switch to Cellular data mode

    • Hold the Function button () until you hear “GPRS mode” from the device.

  • Register your SIM

    • Locate the Smart SIM card included in your Soundbox package and visit smart.com.ph/simreg or use the GigaLife app to register it.

  • Activate a data package

    • We recommend SMART MAGIC DATA 99, which offers non-expiring data valid for 1 year. Keep your SIM active with at least ₱1 load balance at all times and renew your data package after 1 year.

  • Insert the nano SIM card

    • Insert the provided nano SIM card face down into the card slot.

  • Switch to Cellular data mode

    • Hold the Function button () until you hear “GPRS mode” from the device.

  • Wait for Audio Prompts

    • The Soundbox will confirm setup with three prompts: Configuration done,” “Connecting,andReady to work.

      After you hear all three, your Soundbox is successfully connected to Wi-Fi.
