What This Solves: Need to reconcile your sales, track specific payments, or prepare data for accounting? Generating a transaction report allows you to export all your payment data from PayMongo into a comprehensive spreadsheet, making financial management easier and more accurate.

Step-by-Step Guide: Exporting Your Payments Data

Follow these simple steps to create and download your transaction report:

  1. Log In to Your PayMongo Dashboard:

    • Access your PayMongo merchant account.

  2. Navigate to the Payments Tab:

    • On the left-hand sidebar of your dashboard, click on the 'Payments' tab. This will take you to your Payments Dashboard, where you can see all your transactions.

  3. Click 'Export Payments':

    • On the Payments Dashboard page, locate and click the 'Export Payments' button. This button is typically found near the top of the payment table.

  4. Select Your Date Range:

    • A calendar picker will appear. Use it to select the desired start and end dates for your report. This defines the period for which you want to export transactions.

  5. Generate and Download the Report:

    • After selecting the date range, click the 'Export' button.

    • PayMongo will generate a CSV file containing your transaction data, which will then be downloaded to your computer.

Quick Tips & Important Notes:

  • File Format: Your report will be downloaded as a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, which can be opened and easily managed in spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers.

  • Report Columns Explained:

    • Available at: The date when the payment became eligible/cleared for payout.

    • Paid at: The actual date and time the customer successfully paid for the transaction (also known as Transaction Date). This is the basis for Official Receipts (ORs).

    • Created at: When the payment link, payment intent, or overall transaction record was initially created in the system.

    • Updated at: The last time any status changes occurred on the payment transaction (e.g., payment success, adjustment, dispute, refund).

  • Search Functionality: If you need to find a specific transaction before exporting, use the search bar in the Payments Tab. You can search by Payment ID, description, customer email address, or PayMongo Link reference number.

  • Refunds: You can also initiate refunds for individual transactions directly from the Payments Dashboard by clicking on a specific transaction and then clicking the 'Refund' button.
